FunkyTown Self-Catering

FunkyTown has a unique story in that its creators refurbished a dilapidated building in the centre of Jeffreys Bay to bring it about. They recognised an opportunity in recycling the structure and its material to put together a cosy yet glamorous venue for tourists. During this process, they installed heat exchangers and a slow-burning wood fireplace to reduce reliance on electrical consumption, and created skylights and whirly-bird extractors to invite the outdoors in.

The guest rooms are spacious and have minibar and tea and coffee-making facilities.

A fabulous, shared kitchen is next to the bar; designed for patrons to socialise. The other public areas are separate so that the noise does not carry. These rooms include lounges and a dining area.

For intimate nights in, there is a decked area for outdoor cooking and dining, which includes built-in barbeque facilities and a pizza oven. There is also a semi-circular fire pit and small splash pool to round off the evenings spent at the property.

FunkyTown is a stone’s throw away from three of Jeffreys Bay’s beaches; Dolphin Beach, Pellsrus Beach, and Ferreira Town Beach.

You will only be bored at this accommodation if you are trying to be.
