Legacy Yard

Legacy Yard is one of the newer retail destinations in Umhlanga. Located at Umhlanga Arch, it is not a shopping mall, but rather a niche retail destination that focusses on food and novel lifestyle brands.

Nonetheless, it is an absolute must-see if you are looking for a special experience in Umhlanga. Thanks to its recent development, Legacy Yards sports an ultra-modern aesthetic and feels as though you have walked into a Top Billing property.

The name Yard stems from the design of the shopping precinct which is centred on a courtyard with an open atmosphere and chic garden furniture.

The quintessence of the experience is the upstairs chill area. You can buy your food or snacks in any of the shops in Legacy Yard and head upstairs to take in the views over the Umhlanga coastline. We highly recommend the Butterscotch latte from Butterscotch Café & Deli – it’s to die for.

The views are especially spectacular at night when you can enjoy cityscape view lit up by the lights of buildings from Umhlanga Ridge to the ocean.
